In the UK there are three types of radio amateur licences. Each one gives a different level of privileges and requires tests at a different level to be passed. The entry point for all newcomers into the hobby is via the Foundation licence, progressing on to Intermediate, culminating in the Advanced licence. Each licence level has to be achieved before the next can be taken. Please come along to our meetings if you would like to learn more about amateur radio.

April Training Courses and Exams

Our next training courses and exams are in April.  The dates are as follows:-

Sat 17 April Intermediate Licence Training - 9am to 4pm with a break for lunch
Sat 24 April Novice Licence Training - 9am to 4pm with a break for lunch
Sat 24 April Exams Novice and Intermediate level both starting at 5pm
