The special call GB1CODY
was allocated to FDRS to celebrate the centenary of the first
powered flight in the UK, made in Farnborough by Mr S.F.Cody
on 16 October 1908.
The station was operational
on a daily basis from the 13th until 19th October 2008 at the Aldershot
Military Museum. 620 contacts were made with a total of 68
countries.
We will acknowledge all
QSLs (via the RSGB QSL Bureau), with a Special QSL Card.
