G2DX Memorial Award
Rules and Conditions

Work 100 different countries which are outside one's own continent.

All contacts must be made from one's own QTH.

The countries worked must be as per the current RSGB or ARRL Country List.

Only contacts after 1986 are valid for this award.

No QSL cards are required but the submitted list of contacts must be certified by two fully licensed radio amateurs.

The list is to include full log book details, ie date, times, mode, band, callsign, signal reports and must be submitted in alphabetical order.

There are no band or mode restrictions. The award can be for a single band, Mixed bands, CW, Digital Mode, QRP etc.

The Award is available to Short Wave Listeners (SWLs). Log information of date, time, stations heard and signal report must be submitted.

The Award is given at the discretion of the Farnborough and District Radio Society.

The cost of the G2DX Award is £5.00 Sterling, 5 Euros, or $10 USD. This includes postage and packing.

All applications for the G2DX Award are to be made to the Society's Awards Manager.

Cheques, Money orders, and Postal Orders must be in sterling and made payable to the Farnborough & District Radio Society. Cash will be accepted at the sender's risk.

FDRS Member's Award

Only fully paid up members are eligible for this award.
The Award is also available to Short Wave Listeners (SWLs) fully paid up club members.
No cross band or mixed mode QSOs will be accepted.
All applications must be submitted to the Awards Manager
A list showing full log book details, ie date, times, mode, band, the claimed callsign, signal report and the Award Class applied for.
The Awards are free but donations will be welcome to cover cost of printing, etc.
The Award is given at the discretion of the Farnborough and District Radio Society.

Requirements

QSOs submitted shall spell out the following "Farnborough and District Radio Society", a total of 34 QSOs.
The letter of the callsign to qualify is the first letter following the last numeral in the suffix. Example; G4FRS "F" qualifies for the "F", G2DX will qualify for the "D", etc to make up the name.
The award is issued for each single band/mode in HF, VHF or UHF, for example 80M/CW, 20M/SSB 2M/VHF, etc.

G8 Single Band Award

Requirements

Work British Amateur radio stations on ONE band only, in different Counties and with different prefixes. One G8 callsign is essential.

Award Classes

In the following list, the first number is for the number of counties worked. The second number is for the number of different prefixes worked.

Class "A" = Lowest Class Class "J" =Highest Class
Example:( A) 10 Counties/ 6 different prefixes.

(A) 10/6 (B) 20/12 (C) 30/18 (D) 40/24 (E) 50/30 (F) 60/36 (G) 70/42 (H) 78/48 (I) 90/48

County Examples; Surrey, Kent, Cumbria, Cornwall, Co. Antrim, Powys

Callsign Examples G8 G1 GW3 G4 GI7 M0 M5 MM3 2E0 2M1 GB4 etc

Single/Mixed Modes, /P and /M count on one band only.
